| The Deltran BatteryTenderPlus
is an technologically advanced battery charger and maintainer. It may be
used during extended periods of inactivity to insure the battery is kept
fully charged. This is even more important during periods of short practice
flights where the small 6-amp alternator may not be sufficient to restore
the battery to a fully charged condition after repeated engine starting.
The charger is connected to the main battery supply through a plug inside the cockpit. The wire from the charger may be passed through the air vent as shown here so that the canopy may be fully closed to avoid dust.
