Microprocessor-controlled Interface Board

Microprocessor-controlled Interface BoardAn Atmel AVR32 microprocessor drives this board which connects to the rest or the system using standard CAT-5 network cables. It then connects to the array of input and output boards using the 26-pin connector at the lower right corner of the board. One is used in each the console to perform the console scanning and decoding of the combination output signals which drive the stop magnets. One is also used in each chamber (or chambers) to perform the decoding of the output signals which drive the pipes, traps, trems and shutter magnets. The typical installation uses two of these boards: one in the console and one in the chambers.

Output BoardOutput Board

Output boards are used in each console to connect to and control stop magnets and indicator lights. Each output board can connect to and drive 128 individual magnets and lights of any type. Output boards are also used in pipe chambers to connect to pipe magnets, trap magnets, trem magnets, relay magnets etc. All output boards interconnect using 26-pin ribbon cable. Input and output boards may be interconnected in any fashion using the same 26-pin ribbon cable.

Input BoardInput Board

Input boards are used in each console to connect to key contacts, stop contacts, piston contacts, button contacts and expression shoe potentiometers. Each input board can connect to 128 individual contacts of any type. All input boards interconnect using 26-pin ribbon cable. Input and output boards may be interconnected in any fashion using the same 26-pin ribbon cable.
